How Do I Secure My Network ???

I have an ADSL connection that connects to my router and onto my main PC, we have 2 and sometimes 3 laptop that then connect to it using their wireless connection...

How do I secure my network so no one else can connect to my network via their wireless latop etc without my permission???

I think someone in the units nearby us are connecting to the internet via my connection...

I am using Windows XP...

I hope all that made some sense to someone...

TIA for any assistance given...

Just to let you know that I have secured myself but it took a friend to come over and show me how to do it through my router settings... Yay...

Thanks...

I am actually having trouble getting my sons laptop to connect through his wireless connection but I will probably need to start a new topic...

We are safe from the fires...

We live in Brisbane which is in Queensland...
The fires are in Sydney and Melbourne ( the worst ) both are South of us...
North of us up near Cairns ( Ingham ) they are dealing with floods, twice in a week, waters are now dropping but more rain is heading their way again... Poor buggers... They think themselves lucky compared to those in the bushfire areas...
