I don't really have any. All the programs I use are pretty much a standard. I am slowly branching out because of increased technology duties at work, i.e. web design.
I would really be interested to know what people are using. It will help my knowledge base. I know that I have started using AVAST and Malwarebyte's and shared them with relatives and friends because of what was said on this board.

Alan, I see that you removed Limewire. I don't have that on my computer, but my son has it on his. I recently came into the possession of an iPod touch. I am learning how to use it. I purchased 3 albums that I don't have on CD to test that part of it.
My son said that I should download limewire. I asked if it was like Napster, because I am not into illegally downloading songs. He said it was and it wasn't. He said something about Europe and blah, blah, blah. I know that when he was younger and Napster was the in thing...he was on there a lot, and I had to FRY the harddrive twice just to get rid of the viruses that I couldn't get out through convential methods. It was a nightmare, so I am very leary of those types of websites.
What are your thoughts on limewire and why did you remove it?
I replace it with Frostwire. It is almost identical except you don't have the nag screens to upgrade to a paid version. When downloading you need to have P2P Shield set high on Avast...it will catch those nasties fast!
Alan
