Malwarebytes is a site dedicated to fighting malware. Malwarebytes has developed a variety of tools that can identify and remove malicious software from your computer. When your computer becomes infected, Malwarebytes can provide the needed assistance to remove the infection and restore the machine back to optimum performance.

Just wish the free version contained real-time protection like WinPatrol does!
Gonna run it alongside WinPatrol -- not in place of.

Ran first scan with Malwarebytes 1.4 -- no infection!
WinPatrol, SpywareBlaster & Norton AV must have been doing a good job!!

Beetle, I have run MB in a half dozen different PCs and it has always found something...and usually alot.
Funny thing is...I never find anything after the 1st scan and tried to find out from their forum if there was real-time protection and never got a good answer.
There doesn't appear to be anything running in the background?

Nope -- Malwarebytes recommends no programs running while scanning.

I am well aware of that fact!

A background service isn't an open program!
