If you don't want to make the leap to the new OS until you've had a chance to take good look at it, check out my guided tour of Windows 7. Of course, you'll want to read PCMag.com's full Windows 7 review, but there's no better way to get a sense of how the operating system looks and feels than to see it in action.

Windows 7 introduces smaller disk space requirements, faster performance, and other underlying improvements, but a whole lot of new eye candy as well. The totally rethought taskbar—with full-window preview, stunning new themes, and Aero desktop enhancements like Snap, Shake, Peek—probably tops the list. But you'll also see how the new Libraries and Jump Lists work, as well as the different way Gadgets are handled. (Hint: the sidebar is gone!)
