Microsoft has reportedly released its latest version of the Office System to manufacturing. A third-party source indicates that Office 2010 was RTM’d on April 12, 2010, the deadline for the general availability of Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4. The Redmond company has not made any official announcements related to the RTM of Office 2007’s successor, and not commented in any manner on speculation in the wild, let alone to confirm or deny reports according to which it has already signed-off Office 2010.
However, Wzor notes that Office 2010 RTM should be expected any day now, and it was the Russian website that pointed to April 12 as the RTM development milestone for the productivity suite. According to what little information is available, two assemblies of Office 2010 are considered for the RTM Build. Wzor claims to have additional information related to the potential Office 2010 RTM Builds, but that it will only publish it after Microsoft decides which of the releases will be offered to customers.
