I just finished working on a system for AFOAF that had the "Person Security" fake anti-virus inter-weaved in it.
What removed it (finally) was "Safe Mode" and installing and running MalwareBytes.
It found 229 areas of infiltration of this "Scamware"!

This was on a Vista machine and the person admitted the blunder of by-passing her security sentinels.
