Thanksgiving is a time when many American families traditionally gather together to celebrate each other's company, eat obscene amounts of food, and reflect on what they're thankful for in life. As technology fans, we shouldn't limit our reflections to those of general health, fortune, and happiness: No, we owe a lot to the thoroughly nerdy tech world around us. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, let's examine through 10 things nerds should be particularly thankful for this year.

I know not everyone will agree with all of these things, but hey: it's Thanksgiving. Be thankful that you can always read a different article (in any language, even!) if you want to. With that disclaimer out of the way, let us begin—and save some turkey for me!
