Inserting Sound and Audio to a picture as background
Permalink

Hi
I want to insert a recorded(mp3) sound or an audio file to  picture(s) as background or if possible insert/attach to a series of pictures as background(like slideshow) and the whole to be saved as a file and then can send to others by email.
worked with Irfanview / snagIt/MS Office picture manager , but could not find the way.

Need help and comments.

Thanks in advance.
best wishes

Dear Vindicated
Thanks , checked , not much useful Links .

I wish to have sound as background of a picture or a series of pictures. Something like those which are being made by Power Point.
Still need comments and help.
best wishes

What e-mail program are you using?
I know Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, etc. all have the capability of doing what you're describing.

Hi
it is not email matter.
as I mentioned :
quote

then after a file with above details created to be sent by email.
Meanwhile , I use Outlook 2007 and Web Gmail both.

Need help and comments.

Here is how I do it:
1. Compose an e-mail containing the pictures and audio background.
2. Save the e-mail without any recipient specified to a folder (Email files) in your 'My Documents' folder.
3. Now you can open the e-mail you saved, edit it as desired, specify recipients and send it.
4. The e-mail template in your 'Email Files' folder will not be affected -- it will remain unchanged for future use until you delete it.

As you mentioned, another way would be to create your document in Power Point and insert it in an e-mail.

Dear Vindicated

thanks for yr reply.
forget about email .
I just want to have a picture and a sound/audio on the background of that picture.
One way which I knew and you also mentioned is to create that picture with a sound background by PowerPoint.

I thought / guessed that there should be another simple way rather than PowerPoint , like IrfanView or snagIt and so on.

best wishes

Can IrfanView do above ?

Hi,

Yes.

You can make a slideshow, see in file menu.

In the slideshow list, add first a MP3 file, then some pictures, then a new MP3, then new pictures etc.

The slideshow can be saved as EXE, which you can send around.
But note: some email programs/providers block EXE files and the EXE play MP3s using installed MP3 codec. Means if no MP3 codec is installed on the other PC, no sound.

The current IrfanView version is 4.23

I'd say MOST email programs/providers block .exe files!!
Thanks for the information, Moh!!!
