I can see why Symantec would argue this... less money for them. I use Avast (free edition) and it works perfectly for me. wink.gif

Got notified by Norton this morning on the bedroom computer that I have 9-days left on my antivirus subscription.  Thinking I may give the free Microsoft Security Essentials (beta) a try.
If that doesn't work-out, will go to the free Avast.
(That computer doesn't get used very often -- will stay with Norton on our main computer.)

Avast is excellent. Don't forget to register and get a free key that lasts a year (then get another one free)wink.gif

I went ahead & removed my Norton Antivirus subscription (on main computer) which was scheduled to expire in January 2010 and installed Microsoft Security Essentials.
