Microsoft to patch bug used in hack of Google's networks
Permalink

Microsoft is scrambling to patch an Internet Explorer flaw that was used to hack into Google's corporate networks last month.

The attack was used to hack into networks at 34 companies, including Adobe, security experts say. Typically such hacks involve several such attacks, but the IE bug is the only one definitively linked to the hacking incident, which security experts say originated in China.

[ CEO Steve Ballmer says Microsoft will remain in China despite the Google attack. | Learn how to secure your systems with Roger Grimes' Security Adviser blog and Security Central newsletter, both from InfoWorld. ]

Recently updated Adobe Reader to version 9.3.0 and subsequently received two requests from Microsoft Security Essentials to submit the update files for analysis (which I did).
Unusual, huh??

I thought you were the one who recommended it. Anyway, it is an excellent replacement for Adobe (because you shouldn't build you house on mud! *L*)
