An untimely post on the company’s US Partner Community portal has accidentally divulged details, though for a short period only, about Microsoft’s promotional tactics for its forthcoming Office 2010 suite, according to the reports.
Ars Technica dug out the details of the premature post from Google’s cache after it was pulled down after a short presence on the web.
The post on “In The Know - Charles Van Heusen's Weblog” comprised details of “Microsoft Office 2010 Technology Guarantee Programme”, which stated that the customers who would purchase copies of Windows 2007 after 5 March and before 30 September would be entitled for a free upgrade to Office 2010 after it is issued in June 2010.
