The price of computers have dropped dramatically over the past few years and because of this there are many new options in the marketplace. Specifically in portable PC's, there are two main options, a Netbook and a Laptop. Both computers provide portability and basic functions, but whats the difference between a Netbook and a Laptop.
Size Difference
Generally a Netbook is much smaller than a Laptop. They are built to be more portable than Laptops, so their screen sizes are usually no larger than 15", compared to Laptops which have screen sizes all the way up to 20" and beyond.
Often there are also fewer and smaller internal components of a Netbook, which also contribute to it's lower weight. Consider a Netbook a stripped down version of a Laptop.

I assumed that 12" (and usually 10") and under was the distinguishing feature for netbooks. And, I doubt if you could find a laptop larger than 20"!
