Whether it's wishful thinking or a sign the net is tightening around LulzSec, the talk in computer security circles is that the hacking group's headline-filled glory days may be numbered. The reportedly tight-knit group of anonymous, renegade hackers has drawn far too much attention to itself and angered too many people with the ability and now the motivation to track them down, say rival hackers and security experts.
Hacker group LulzSec on Saturday announced that it is shutting down operations, but called on supporters to continue fighting its anti-government movement via a similar group, Anonymous.
Speculation has been flying back and forth since the shadowy hacker group Lulzsec announced that it was hanging up its keyboards and sailing the waters of easily obtainable (read: hackable) personal information no more. What made the group quit? "Y u hack no more," as some Internet communities might ask?
