Yes , I tried the Fn key along with the " touch pad " key , but no change and not activated . I went to BIOS but saw nothing about Touch pad to disable / enable.

See if there's a clue in 'Device Manager'. 'Right-click' 'Computer' and select 'Manage'. In the right column select 'Device Manager'. Check 'Mice and other pointing devices' and 'Dell touchpad' or 'Alps touchpad'. Any yellow '!' (exclamation points) or problems.
Does it say "This device is working properly"? If it does...you may be looking at "hardware" problems.

Vindi Thank you very much for your help. Yes I found the drive and downloaded and installed the Touchpad drive. now the Fn+"touchpad key " (F3 button ) is active and work properly : disable / enable . Thanks again. M.Rafat
