Hi

I wish to know if it is possible to run Wi Fi of a mobile (LG Optimus 4X HD P880) without installing Wireless Modem on PC or Laptop ?

Actually my sister is not able to work with PC( far from me ) , but she likes to use her mobile's wifi and call/chat /send-receive photoes  to/from others via Viber + Tango + Voxer .  

So , I want to know if I can help her to run / install the wireless modem directly to her phone ,without having a PC or Laptop ?

OS of her Mobile : Android , 4.0

ADSL internet already subscribed and  is ready to use.

Dear Vindi

Thanks for the two links , they are mostly about introducing Wi Fi itself and it's capability generally and does not relate to my problem directly . 

In the meantime , I asked this question from TP-Link Wireless modem representative in Iran , they said :

Yes , it is possible, I should consider the smartphone / tablet as a PC : open the web browser thru yr mobile , and do what u do through a PC and put the username and password and other related ISP data and information and it should be work without using PC or Laptop.

will keep you informed of the result soon.
